Pimple Treatment

Pimple treatment requires care and patience. It could take time to treat a pimple no matter how you look at it. It doesn’t matter if you are going to treat it at home or by using over the shelf acne products. The key to a successful treatment is clean dry skin. The first sign of a pimple is redness and sometimes accompanied with pain. Don’t try to pop the pimple especially if you can’t see a tip. Keep your skin clean and rub it with a tonic. Something that has benzoyl peroxide will do well. You need to wipe your face with it to kill any developing bacteria in and around the infected area. A good acne product should reduce the redness and swelling. Our goal is to get rid of pimples as quick as possible with out leaving an ugly blemish afterward.

Many people go right ahead and start squeezing as soon as they see a small bump. This is a huge mistake. It will cause more infection causing it to turn into a huge pimple resulting in ugly scabbing and scarring. This carelessness will leave you with a permanent scar. When that happens you will have another battle ahead of you, you will need to find a good pimple scar treatment.

So if you ever see a huge pimple on your forehead or cheek step away from the mirror. Get yourself some good skin care products and start your pimples treatment. If you don’t want acne scars then keep your fingers away from it. The best thing you can do besides keeping it clean and medicated is to forget about it. This can be very hard to do so try to keep yourself busy and occupied during this time. Don’t look into any mirrors because if you look at it one too many times then chances are, a little voice in your head will convince you to squeeze it.

If you do decide you want to squeeze it for whatever reason then you should do so only when you can the pus surrounding the tip. Make sure everything is sanitized and hands are washed. If you can puncture the tip with a sterile pin it would be easier to pop. Don’t apply too much pressure; gently squeeze from all sides until all discharge is removed. You will know when the pus is followed by blood. Now you just have to keep the area disinfected all the time clean and dry until it heals up. Once the abscess has been removed the pain should be gone. Naturally your scar would scab; this doesn’t look as bad as a pimple but you should least let the scab fall off on its own. Peeling a scab prematurely increases chances of scarring.

Treatment for pimples doesn’t necessarily require squeezing. There are some pimple treatments that reverse the pimple from the beginning. In other words if you act fast then you can stop the formation of a new pimple. You can stop it while it’s at its early stages. If it is painful you will know its healing as soon as you notice the pain decreasing.

Pimple treatments are sold in drug stress and even local supermarkets. They are effective if you are consistent with them. If something isn’t working for you then try a different brand or stronger solution. Everyone is different some pimples are more resistant to others. How your skin will react to a pimple treatment wouldn’t be the same as for anyone else. Most importantly don’t panic, relax and take your time. It will go away whether you squeeze it or you don’t, our concern is the long run which means you should do whatever you can to prevent a crater or permanent scar.
